Terms and Conditions
- Agreement to These Terms
By booking a private consultation and making payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you (the client) and Ruth S.L. Chiles.
- Nature of the Session
Private consultations are one-to-one neurosomatic sessions of 60 minutes, delivered live online via video conferencing. Sessions do not follow a fixed plan; the work is responsive to where you are in your process on the day. Sessions are predominantly experiential, working directly with the nervous system through guided practices.
- Payment
Two options are available:
Single session: $750 USD, payable in full at the time of booking.
Package of five sessions: $3,200 USD, payable in full at the time of booking the first session.
A session is not confirmed until payment has been received. Payments must be made in US dollars.
- Session Packages
The five-session package is valid for twelve months from the date of purchase. Sessions not used within this period are forfeited and will not be refunded, extended, or transferred. Packages are personal to the client and may not be shared with or transferred to another person.
Once the first session of a package has taken place, the package is non-refundable. If a client chooses to discontinue before the first session has taken place, a refund will be issued for the package minus the cost of one single session ($750 USD) as an administration and commitment fee.
Individual sessions within a package are subject to the same cancellation, rescheduling, lateness, and non-attendance terms as single sessions. A session lost to late cancellation or non-attendance is deducted from the package.
- Cancellation and Rescheduling by the Client
A minimum of 72 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. With 72 hours' notice or more, the session may be rescheduled once to a mutually agreed date, or the fee refunded in full.
With less than 72 hours' notice, the full session fee is retained and the session is not rescheduled or refunded. This applies regardless of the reason for cancellation.
- Lateness and Non-Attendance
Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time and the full fee remains payable. If you do not attend, the session is treated as a late cancellation and no refund or rescheduling will be offered.
- Cancellation or Rescheduling by Ruth
In the rare event that Ruth needs to cancel or reschedule a session, you will be offered an alternative date at the earliest mutual convenience, or a full refund if no suitable date can be found. No further compensation will be payable.
- Technology
Sessions are delivered online and require a stable internet connection, a quiet private space, and a device with camera and microphone. If a session is interrupted by a technical failure on Ruth's side, the lost time will be made up or the session rescheduled. Technical failures on the client's side do not entitle the client to a refund or rescheduling, though Ruth will make reasonable efforts to recover the session where possible.
- Session Recordings
Any exercises or practices guided during your session are recorded as audio in the moment and provided to you afterward for your personal use. These recordings are for your individual practice only and may not be shared, published, distributed, or reproduced in any form. The session itself is not otherwise recorded, and clients may not record any part of a session by any means.
- Nature of the Work
Private consultations are neurosomatic and educational in nature. They are not medical treatment, or a substitute for professional medical or psychological care. You remain responsible for your own health decisions and should consult a qualified medical professional regarding any medical condition. By booking, you confirm that you are participating voluntarily and take full responsibility for your own wellbeing during and after sessions.
- Confidentiality
Everything shared within a session is treated as confidential by Ruth, except where disclosure is required by law or where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person.
- Intellectual Property
All practices, exercises, materials, and recordings provided remain the intellectual property of Ruth S.L. Chiles. They are licensed to you for personal use only.
- Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ruth S.L. Chiles shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from participation in a private consultation. Total liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the fee paid for the session in question.
- Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Spanish courts.
